The KAIROS Team worked with the Borough of Marysville on the revitalization of the streetscape within its Downtown Business Commercial District. Specifically, the Borough wished to promote a renewed vitality for commercial establishments adjacent to the Marysville Square that will attract new patrons and businesses to this area. In addition to revitalizing the Square, the Borough desired to enhance its connectedness to the Susquehanna River, through the creation of a strong visual and aesthetic link from the Square, through the access tunnel under Routes 11/15 and out to the boat launch facility along the River.

The project included the analysis of hardscapes and landscapes, historical contexts, transportation, utilities, the existing business environment, real estate considerations, lighting, etc. The Team worked closely with the community in a highly interactive process during the conceptual design phase to ensure that the needs of the Downtown were reflected in the final Master Plan.

To assist in the implementation of the Master Plan, KAIROS developed a phasing plan, an implementation schedule, and a list of potential funding sources.
